Becchio Signs!

I know we’ve signed a few decent players over the summer but this is one that stands out for me.

I am that confident that I’ve just gone a stuck a bet on Becchio finishing Top Scorer in League 1.

On and on!

leeds sign dougie freedman

Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman has agreed terms to join Leeds United on loan until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old initially turned down a loan move to Elland Road on Wednesday, but he has had a change of heart.

Leeds manager Gary McAllister told BBC Radio Leeds: “It’s just the final points of getting him here to be sorted - I still feel it’s promising.

“He’s got a few situations he wants to make clear with Crystal Palace before he commits.”

Freedman had told the BBC earlier in the week that he intended to finish his career at Palace and that a move to another club was not an option.

But the former Scotland international could join the West Yorkshire club in time to play against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Leeds 3-0 Port Vale

Leeds returned to form after two consecutive defeats with a thumping victory over bottom club Port Vale.

David Prutton headed in the first on 18 minutes after Andy Hughes’ mazy run and cross from the left.

Jermaine Beckford hit the post twice before he made it 2-0, turning and shooting low into the far corner.

Beckford then limped off in the 67th minute with a heavily-bandaged leg before his replacement Tore Andre Flo volleyed the third goal.

61 more points to go, until we win the title.

Leeds Hit Back at Bournemouth

Bournemouth - 1 - 3 - Leeds

Tresor Kandol hit two goals against his former club Bournemouth at Dean Court.

Kandol thrust his side into an early lead when he raced on to Andy Hughes’s long ball to finish past Neil Moss.Bournemouth’s on-loan Jem Karacan netted a long-distance equaliser but Leeds went back infront when Seb Carole curled home his third of the season.

Lee Bradbury was sent off after a poor challenge on Matt Heath before Kandol converted Frazer Richardson’s cross for his eighth goal of the season late on.
